As we approach the final quarter of 2024, I’m excited to unveil our latest Tidy side-project, Pompey Poems! Following on from our Inspiring Younger Generations post, I dedicated many evenings and weekends to bringing this idea to life.
The concept was simple: create a fun and imaginative storybook for both children and adults in the local community to enjoy. Inspired by the charm of Portsmouth, I got to work writing and illustrating a series of light-hearted stories that go beyond The Southsea Seagull and The Palmerston Pigeon. Within the pages of Pompey Poems, you’ll discover new characters, including The Albert Road Toad, Colin The Canoe Lake Crab, Solent Seal, The Gosport Gannet, Don Swan, Harry the Heron, The Fratton Falcon, and many more!
